Name: Laguna Loire
Age: 27
Nation: The Grand Alliance of States
Position: Captain on the Western Front
Appearance:
Laguna has shoulder-length dark brown hair, glowing green eyes, and an innocent face that cause most women to find him very handsome. Laguna’s normal attire consists of a medium blue jacket with white studs and grooves, white undershirt, brown pants, black boots, and his dog tags signifying his name, birth and rank.
Personality:
Laguna can be described as a man with many faces and even more talents. He is cheerful, generous, kind-hearted, as well as a natural born leader, and though he hates fighting, he became a Free Alliance soldier and does it for the sake of the greater purpose. He is well respected among his comrades, in general, who scorn him sometimes for his impulsive attitude but ultimately rely on him for guidance and direction when push comes to shove. He’s courageous in the face of danger and most especially when his friends are in trouble, but when given time to think about the danger he’s truly in, he usually becomes a little more hesitant. However, he’s always willing to put his life on the line for the sake of justice. Laguna is known for making up his own answers on the fly whenever he doesn’t know the real answer to something, or occasionally he just gets it wrong altogether. He is also well known for his inability to talk to women, though he exclaims that it’s only “beautiful women” that he gets nervous around and when he does his left leg cramps up.
Background:
Born in Junon, Laguna grew up in a middle class family, with generally few great events. However, still being a rather ambitious man, he wished for a career as a journalist, to travel the world and record, write about, everything that occurred. Though as most men he was enlisted into the Imperial army under the Shinra Empire, and showed great battle prowess and a born spur to lead men. A man fit for a rank of Captain, he treaded the battlefield with his light machine gun. Yet, a man of strong morals and sense of justice, he found it difficult to agree with Shinra’s way of occupying and destruction of others. With a group of fellow soldiers, they stole a boat at Junon, and disappeared over the sea to the Alliance. Joining them, believing in their greater purpose of freedom, and not Tyranny.
Never letting go of his desire to be a journalist, he tended to write about his travels and battles, now reaching the rank of Captain within the Western Military Force, leading men against monsters and the expanding Empire. A woman he met, one that holds a special place in his heart, named Raine, lived in Mideel. He had visited it a few times, but now the Shinra Empire had invaded the South islands, endangering the woman he cared for. Being a man who follows his heart, but without ignoring his duty, he pushed for his squad to be detached to the Mideel area to protect the town as well as its people.
