Name: Kadaj
History/Background
Though Kadaj was engineered to be a perfect SOLDIER modeled after Sephiroth, like his two brothers, he knew since his birth that his purpose was greater than that. Mother's pull existed before he could even remember being concious, and always Kadaj had known that she existed, waiting for him and his brothers so that she might pull them into her embrace. The Remnant had wanted nothing more than that from his birth, but it was not as simple as wanting it. The three brothers awoke in the lab that had created them, breaking free and fleeing from the place. No one had told them their purpose, their names, nothing.
They simply knew.
The brothers were drawn to the Forgotten City, where Kadaj learned of Sephiroth. It was in Sephiroth's image that they had been created, as they each held traits belonging to the One-Winged Angel. The discovery was deeply troubling for Kadaj, and it was here that his insecurities began. What if Mother hailed Sephiroth as her favored son? The implications were too much for the leader of the Remnants to think about, and so they moved on, continuing their search for Mother.
The journey brought them to the Northen Crater, where they encountered Rufus Shinra and his Turks. It was here that they learned of the piece of Mother that they held, and at once they knew that there was no doubting what they had to do. The Remnants fought Rufus and his Turks, but the former president of Shinra managed to escape with the piece of Mother, though a few Turks were not so lucky. The Remnants tortured them, intending on learning everything they knew. The Turks were not easy to break, though they could not learn anything of true value. The Remnants abandoned the Turks, moving on to the city of Edge in pursuit of Rufus and Mother.
Along the way they encountered another brother of their's, Cloud Strife. Though they referred to him as a brother they knew him to be an enemy, engaging him in a short encounter before going back to finding Mother once again. The search eventually brought Kadaj to encounter Rufus Shinra in Edge, and though Kadaj was able to take back the piece of Mother at the end of encounter it was still troubling for the Remnant. Leaving behind Bahamut SIN to face the heroes the Remnants left Edge, though Cloud followed after them.
Kadaj was seperated from his brothers, though he continued to make his way to the ruins of Midgar, an instinct driving him that he could not understand. The events that transpired brought Kadaj to bind with the piece of Mother that he had been carrying, changing him into Sephiroth. Cloud was able to defeat the One-Winged Angel another time, changing him back into Kadaj who shortly faded into the lifestream along with his brothers.
It was peaceful in the lifestream, no conflict, no strife.
Kadaj hated it.
He could still feel Mother's call, the inexplicable urge to reunite with her. Time flowed endlessly, but something changed. Kadaj came back to the planet, though finding himself alone.
Alignment/Affiliation: Himself
Age: Appears to be sixteen.
Race: Remnant of Sephiroth.
