Name: Lanocov
Age: Appears to be in his early 20s, but was around in Palamecia.
Gender: Male
Race: Human spirit and fire spirit intertwined
Height: 5’10”/Variable
Weight: 173 lbs/Variable
Alignment: Chaotic/True Neutral or Chaotic/Neutral Evil, depending on the spirit’s “mood.”
Appearance:
There will be a picture here within two weeks: I have one started up, it’s just at school. Once it’s done, I’ll post it. For now, however, can you maybe overlook this bit?
Personality: Being nothing but fire at his core, Lanocov is a pale imitation of a human. His biggest personality trait is his total lack of compassion, but total indifference to his surroundings (Humanity-wise). Unless he has a reason to target you, he won’t. Being in his way is a reason. Upon encountering obstacles, human or otherwise, he simply forces the object to move, burn, or die. He has no real purpose, other than to consume lifestream and survive. He consumes lifestream simply via burning the bodies of his victims, and absorbing their lifestream through fire. His various tendencies include wandering into churches, sealing all the exits, and burning the church down while playing Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor whilst the church burns around him, taking walks that lead him nowhere, and standing still for extended lengths of time, sometimes hours on end (The spirit’s version of sleep).
Background:
Lanocov was formerly a Palamecian castle mage. He toyed with fire as his expertise, and he was most commonly seen studying the Fire Crystal, trying to analyze it’s properties. One day, however, an experiment revolving around this crystal went HORRIBLY wrong, and he absorbed a fragment of the crystal. As he disappeared into fire, the only things he clung onto were the memories of his shape, and of his name.
Countless years later, when the tainted lifestream poured forth from the castle, it found the spirit. Giving it form and life, it reproduced Lanocov from the few memories it could find. The mage was reborn as a spirit of fire, and soon he found a master in Mateus.
Now he waits, and burns in anticipation of his next opportunity to see the outside world.
Abilities:
Pyromancy: Lanocov, being fire personified, can bend fire to his will, create it, destroy it, and let it consume all around him. This pyromancy makes him totally immune to fire attacks.
Augmented Strength: Being supernatural, his strength is slightly above average. In a normal fight, however, he is still fairly vulnerable, so it is necessary for him to use fire.
Pyromance Summons: Using his gift of fire, he can call forth great phantasms and creatures, constructed almost exclusively of fire. These creatures can fight for him, even if he is absolutely drenched, and can’t fight himself.
Soul Consumption: By setting fire to a living thing or corpse of a living thing, Lanocov can absorb whatever lifestream remains in them. He must do this every so often to keep a human form, for fire burns away at his very existence.
NOTE: If he is wet, not only will he not be able to use his fire, but he will be severely weakened physically, and will need to be dry before being able to fight effectively. I don’t just mean damp, although that will make his flames weaker by a bit. He has to be SOAKED to lose his pyromancy altogether.
Limit Breaks:
Spontaneous Human Combustion: Causes a random human to spontaneously burst into flames (Can only be used on NPCs, like surrounding civilians).
Mass SHC: See above, on a grand scale.
Compression Blast: Lanocov compresses a ball of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, and other high explosive flammables that would normally take up an entire room into a small, fist-sized ball. He then sets this mass on fire. Massive explosion ensues.
Crash and Burn: Lanocov boosts himself 100 feet into the air, and comes back down like a meteor, wreathed in flames.
Outburst: A pulse of flame emanates from Lanocov outwards in all directions for 20 feet.
