The snow continued to heavily fall upon the mountains that filled the land at every glance. A maze of rocks covered in white, a thick cloud from the wind shaking the falling specks, it was easy for a man to find himself lost deep within the mountains, one wrong turn leading you into the snowy desert abyss. A cold rattled a mans bones, froze his skin and pieced his organs, it was only a matter of time before one dropped into a deep slumber and was buried in the snow, vanishing from the world without a trace. However such things were not on the agenda of the Red Mage, he had no the time for a slumber nor death in the cold, his goal was to survive, to bring forth his agenda and make it once again known.
The mountain side was no easy climb, Genesis pushing himself up the rocky wall one step at a time, the snow beating against his skin and snow forming in his copper hair. The wind was too harsh and fierce for any other method of transportation, clinging onto the side was pretty much the safest option. His red coat fluttered violently in the squalls, his long red rapier tapping the rock as it hung from his hip. The Northern Crater was not too far passed this mountain, if he remembered correctly, however that was not his destination – not yet anyway.
It was not too long until a doorway in the mountain side befell the Ex-SOLDIER, swallowed in darkness with an unwelcoming aura. Genesis’ blues sharp eyes lingered over the doorway in a collected manner, before calmly striding inside, disappearing into the shadow. The darkness was short lived, upon entering the huge caverns of the mountain, the lights of mako energy surged through the stone around him, gleaming a teal glow, pulsating as the power slithered about the mountains interior. It was an odd sight to say the least, though Genesis had seen odder, hell, he had been odder.
The red coated warrior strode forward, yet he was not alone for long. Within moments of his entry the ground erupted near his feet as a large dragon beast of the mountain burst through and roared in a hectic way that shook the foundations of the cavern. Stone and snow tumbled from above, even down the side of the mountain. It was not a second before it locked onto its’ prey, the human appearing creature with red glaring up towards the towering monster, With a second roar, an ice cone breath exploded from the might beasts jaw and plummeted in the direction of the soldier. With a swift flick of his wrist his long rapier swung into his hand, the metal sparking along the floor before being swung in the direction of the creature, fire incasing the blade.
“Fira” Genesis spoke in his usual tone, the spell twirling from the sword and impacting with the icy breath. Steam exploded from the contact and filled the roof from the cavern. The dragon crawled the ground excitedly as its’ gaze studied the Ex-SOLDIER curiously. Genesis began to make his way towards the dragon beast, his pace beginning to quicken as the range decreased.
A few minutes later the red coated warrior made his way into a second room in the cavern, one hand running a rag down his rapier, cleaning the blood with dripped from the blade. He continued forward, his eyes settling on a small foundation in the centre of the cavern. He had recalled something like this mentioned in the mountains of Nibelhiem, but what he seeked say before him. In the centre of the mako foundation sat a small material draped in the energy source. His blue eyes reflected the teal lights shimmering in the ground. It would not be long now.
“As the war sends the world hurtling towards destruction. The prisoner departs from his newfound love. And embarks on a new journey” Said softly to himself, as a gloved hand slowly reached outwards.
