The red coated ex-SOLDIERs’ moment of contemplation would be short lived, with the incoming fiend from the skies he would not sit idle for long. Not far off the distance a strange creature loomed overhead, peering down to the city for prey much like he was not five minutes ago. His cool blue eyes studied the beast with minimal interest; it was not why he was here after all. If Midgar was no more, this town would do for a searching place, there was a chance that man was here – if he had simply moved from Midgar. The planet whispered it so. If life was a poem, there had been many before, but now was the beginning of a new verse, and it would change the world significantly.
Something caught the attention of Genesis though, like an itch the corner of his eye, movement below his high hide. What caught his attention mostly was the lack of humanity this said movement had. A beast of some sorts, growling and charging with tusks like blades and arms like boulders. The muscular pig like best stormed through the roads of the city snarling for prey, though luckily the roads seemed abandoned for the most part. One would assume the people had heard or seen such a creature and scampered home but Genesis was not sure for certain, yet perhaps this was something he would intervene. The only monsters that served the planet were the Weapons and they were long gone by now, these monsters that clawed about the planet destroying in random were nothing but a blemish. Genesis’ attention was briefly taken as a large beam flew into the sky towards the soaring monsters, however barely missing it caused the beast to only react violently. It would seem others were acting to the presence of the monsters; it would b e no harm for the Red Mage to let loose a little himself. As he turned his deep eyes back to the creature below he could not help but notice was rather large chested woman sprinting down a road of her own which was not too far from the beastie. From simply appearance Genesis discerned her as a fighter and no push over at that, but he would not wait for the two to make contact, he would jump first. With a swift push off the wall Genesis launched himself down from the building, his long red rapier being swung from his hip and held at his side. Like a speeding bullet me plummeted towards his chosen foe.
The roaring charging big like monster galloped with the increased pull of its’ huge arms down the roads of Edge. Its tusks ripped up the ground at occasions in rage as it hunted its’ prey, it knew who it was after; it had been sent for two particular chew toys. One of them was not far off, the slobber was dripping in with the blood of victims in its’ path previously. Closer, and closer, the scent burned its’ nostrils with excitement. As it came closer to the corner where the prey was the sound of something falling at high speeds ticked its’ ears, and it suddenly threw it self to the side, the red blade of an unknown attacker skimming along its’ stomach. It roared out in anger at the ambush, but itself and the attacker were soon engulfed in the dust cloud created by the impact on the ground next to it.
Genesis flicked his red sword as a line of blood flew from the blade and splattered on the nearby wall. It bled well, at least, but it was tough, and had a good sense of what was around it. He could hear it jumping back to escape the dust cloud for a better look at its’ attacker, however Genesis chose to wait in his collateral. The cloud drifted away in the wind like a leaf in the breeze, leaving a copper haired warrior standing calmly in centre, eyes homed into his prey and material flowing around his hand as flames began to rise. Fire magic being Genesis’ greatest use of materia.
“Though no oath is shared between the lovers. In their hearts they know they will meet again” He quoted calmly, his deep eyes briefly lingering to the side to catch the sight of the woman he saw before. This was only brief however; a second later he had begun to dash across the ground with his arm thrown upwards and flames plummeting towards the monsters like searing spears. The creature took them head on with resilience, its’ growl forcing against the pain. It was a tough fat bastard. After his spell finished he was already on top of his enemy, his red blade being thrust downwards towards the head, yet the monster was no push over, it’s own tusk extending from its’ jaw to deflect the blade and the second tusk doing the same, yet aiming for the mans chest. Genesis flipped his body to avoid the incoming strike, twisting over the monster and allowing his blade to slice down the back in the same motion. The monster roared out in anger, its’ huge arm jolting backwards to smack the attack in the side. A wave of blood suddenly showered the ground, followed by a lump of flesh looking much like a monsters fist.
A loud roared echoed down the streets as the creature lurched backwards while gripping the stump it used to call a hand., its’ eyes shuddering with uncontrollable rage. Who was this attacker whom was not its’ target, this was not supposed to happen. A flash of red skimmed past the beasts eyes, the flush of the warriors coat as another slim slice peeled through the flesh of its’ torso. It could feel the metal ripping upwards in a swift uppercut, cutting away its’ life as cleanly as butter. With one last roar it collapsed backwards, a spray of blood exploding into the air as the sword passed through. The monster groaned and twitched on the ground, pushing itself to remain conscious and fulfil it’ mission. It refused to be defeated, just yet… even if it couldn’t quite move right now. Genesis let out a lung filled breath as he regained his composure; he had gone on the continual attack during the fight he barely had time to think clearly. With another flick of his blade the blood slid from the metal before sliding home. The woman not far from him drew his attention was again, as a small smile touched his lips. “And they say red is the colour of passion.”
He wondered if he should of asked for a name, first.

[[A/N - Looks like we are all finally getting to the good stuff. About time! So glad to break out my sorely flexed battle rp ability. It's gonna be interesting, that's for sure. To Genesis - You ass! LoL, rather large chest woman am I? Psh! Don't think I didn't notice that And I will be getting you back lol, just not right away but yeah, still made me laugh regardless ]] Tifa continued past the main square where she’d made her first observation of the area and pointedly turned sharply to the left of some discarded rubble in attempts to slip down a rather narrow street in order to throw off the threats attack. Fighting the notion to turn back and stay close to the two men she’d grown accustomed to, she knew that this was the right course of action. Surround & conquer. It was a good strategy, and luckily Zack’s expertise at their disposal along with Cloud’s abilities, she was naively confident enough in that fact that it would soon be over with. As she drew near the mouth of the opening of the passageway, she sensed there was something amiss. The ground beneath her feet groaned in protest under the weight of some unknown source nearby. Tifa’s attention was quickly diverted as a pulse of light bolted up from somewhere not far off into the distance in which she was traveling barley missing her intended target. Faltering a few steps, her trained gaze followed the path of the light as it demised into the early evening skies above. The light itself was no stranger, and she knew full well who was responsible behind the attack. ..BarretJust as her confidence grew, it was quickly shattered once she realized the massive bird of prey swooped out of sight. Tifa felt the air diminishing from her lungs as thoughts of what could possibly be happening unfold on the battlefield several yards away. She was confident enough that Barret could hold his own for a while, but he would still need their help. Picking up momentum, she felt the welcomed rush of adrenaline dance throughout her veins working over her muscles and aiding her in speed. She pushed herself further as the mouth of the passageway was now within her grasps, she turned the corner with next to little effort and was soon faced with another obstacle. Tifa looked ahead of her at the scene playing out before her. A beast… something that reminded Tifa of a wild boar, but with an increased size of at least seven feet in length, and stood a good five feet off the ground. To her, it like it’d come out of a madman’s fantasy. Bringing her hands up before her, she stood her ground as it charged forward, but was soon thrown off into a building with blinding speed. Startled, Tifa loosened he stance and took a cautious step forward before pulling three steps back. A new comer was now in view. Tall, lithe form clad in crimson leather from head to toe, the unknown man seemed disconcerted with her presence as he continued his assault on the massive beast. She watched the battle between man and beast unfold, contemplating if she should give this stranger a hand but from the looks of it, he was holding his own. Even as he continued in his actions, Tifa couldn’t help but shake the uneasiness she felt while watching him do so. There was something in the way he attacked… something, whatever it was reminded her sorely of a certain silver haired man from her past. ..impossible
Or was it? Once the beast fell for the final time, Tifa straightened her stance as she stood locked in this peculiar mans gaze. Words quickly escaped her as her mouth slacked slightly as if to form some sort of greeting, if not gratitude for what had just taken place. But something was nagging at her, for whatever reason her inner voice told her to be on guard. Do not trust blindly…. Shifting her weight, she settled once again into a stance as her dark clothed fingers coiled into tightly knit fists. Tifa’s dark eyes bored back into the crisp blue gaze of the unknown man. Did he mean her any harm? She didn’t know… but she be damned if she was this close to helping out a friend and be cut down by someone so soon.

(sorry for the short length. I'd be putting in long ones too, but I'm posting from school and don't have much time left.)
Seeing the blast from his standing point, Zack went off after Tifa, knowing the fight was probably in that direction. The Buster Sword unfurled its wrappings and rested lightly on his shoulder as he ran, a full sprint despite the weight of the sword. He skidded to a stop immediately next to Tifa when he saw who stood before her, however.
"Impossible..." He muttered. How? "G-Genesis....How are you here?" He asked, dumbfounded at seing the red-cloaked SOLDIER here before him. "I..You...How?" was all that managed to escape him. "I don't understand..." This was rather Ironic, considering he himself had been ressurected by the Lifestream recently, and he stood dumbfounded at how Genesis had returned, when he had simply vanished. "You...You disappeared...Where did you go?"

Feeling the presence of another person beside her, Tifa’s eyes chances a quick glance over her left shoulder to see the tall dark haired man coming up to a stop beside where she stood. A bit of relief washed over her knowing now that if the strange copper headed man was a threat, the odds were now greatly in their favor. She pulled her attention back to the red clad gent remaining silent as Zack’s voice addressed him.
…Genesis
What a peculiar name, and even more so that he was once a part of Zack’s past. Tifa only assumed that he was SOLDIER as well. She listened on, keeping quiet as the distraught words were cast out upon the open area and back at the one that’d just recently beaten the massive beast still laying in a puddle of its own bodily fluids. Clearly, this wasn’t a happy reunion and if what Zack was asking was true, and this man was a part of SOLDIER but vanished shortly after, she couldn’t help but wonder what was his intentions for showing his face now. The timing was a bit to convenient for her tastes…
Two monsters attacking at the same time as this man’s abrupt appearance. Was he behind all of this? Or did he have another purpose entirely for his presence in Edge?
(( This doesn't really do anything for the storyline but it at least expresses what tifa is thinking while Zack and Genesis play catch-up))

Cid came to an abrupt halt as he realized there were people nearby. He could see three people, but he didn’t exactly know if there were any more lurking nearby. All he could tell was that one of them was his friend Tifa. He examined the other two closely, making sure neither looked like an immediate threat.
Since Tifa was close to the one with black hair, he must be a nice guy, and as for the one in the red, it didn’t seem like he intended harm on either Tifa or the black haired guy. Then again, this was just speculation based on the fact that nobody was at someone else’s throat.
He backed up a few steps, allowing him room for a running start to his jump. After a moment, he burst into a sprint, jumping at the last second, and passing over Tifa and the one with black hair with a single leap, only to land softly to Tifa’s side.
Standing upright, he looked over at Tifa with a smile and took what remained of his cigarette from his mouth, dropping it to the ground, and stomping it out. “Don’t tell me you planned on starting a party without me.” He said with a smile.
He had his spear leaning against his shoulder, immobile. What light there was through the somewhat standard cloudy grey skies glinted off of the blade of his weapon. “Captain Cid Highwind at your service.”

The big breasted woman did not reply to his small joke, in fact she seemed to quietly throw up defensives to the man. He was not surprised; he had just appeared out of no where with out any introduction with swordsmanship that rivalled the heroes of the planet. This coupled with the fact she was not his major concern allowed him to be unaffected by the caution and instead he carefully rose both his hands as an indication of no violence before lowering them back down to his sides, with one drooped over his sword hilt in a casual fashion. Before Genesis could ask any questions that bubbled in his mind he was interrupted by a familiar voice. His cool blue eyes leisurely glided over to the black haired ex-SOLDIER like himself, Zack Fair. It was almost amusing.
Almost.
“It is unlike you to stutter so much Zack, but like I told Angeal, unlike you I never returned to the planet. The wandering soul knows no rest. Where I was isn’t important anymore, only where I am going.” The red clad man took a couple of sets forward, his red coat fluttering at his ankles in the breeze pushing between the buildings. It was not long before another made an appearance in a rather dramatic fashion, almost as dramatic as his own. Genesis quirked one brow in question at the entrance yet his hand did not grip his hilt, only continued to lay over it idly. After the second man introduced himself as Cid Highwind, he returned his attention to the group as a whole and continued to speak. “So Angeal has come back to life, and Zack. I wonder who will be next, but it is not you I am here for.” His sharp gaze focused a moment on the black haired woman, the one yet to speak and instead only studied and listened. He still did not recognise her, yet he had heard the name Cid Highwind before, something to do with the Space program that was being considered many years ago.
“Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess. I’m looking for Cloud; he has answers to my questions, my mystery.” He stated bluntly. The man who defeated Sephiroth, saviour of the planet. Destroyer of what he seeked.

( this was very hard for me to write because I want to give a chance for Zack to reply to this also. But knowing tifa, just as soon as Cloud is mentioned, she's gonna have something to say about it. Sorry for the suckish short post ) The filtering light above her head sent her back another pace as Tifa’s attention was diverted once more to another presence. A welcoming one indeed. Soon as Cid spoke, her lips turned slightly upwards in appraisal of the man that now stood to her right. Turning back suddenly, she watches the man named by Zack as Genesis move to confront allied trio. She kept her eyes trained solely on him as he cautiously took precautions showing he was of no threat, but still… listening further, she felt a good bit of what he was speaking about had to do with the same period of time when Zack was active in SOLDIER. Another man’s name was brought up as well. It was only when the red head spoke the name Cloud, did she find herself quickly losing her composure. “Cloud!?”… her voice snapped suddenly breaking her silence. Tifa glared darkly back at the man, her hostility rising once more. Boldly, she shifted herself towards him rather than away. So many questions fluttered her mind clogging her thoughts as her temper slowly rose. …who sent you!?
…why Cloud!?
…you’re not going to take him away from me…I won’t allow itHer thoughts raged further in protest yet her mouth failed to comply as she stood her ground boring holes back into the leather bound swordsman

"Angeal is back? How?" Zack asked, though he felt certain he already knew the answer. He knew that the Lifestream had returned Angeal as well, just as it had him. "Nevermind that. What do you want with Cloud, Genesis?" At that, Zack gripped the Buster Sword tighter than ever, holding it ready at his side. "If you mean any harm to him I swear I'll send you back to the Lifestream this time instead of leaving you alive...." His teeth gritted in a scowl as he glared at Genesis, his own anger nearly matching Tifa's, his knuckles white under his black gloves as he gripped the Buster Sword with all his might. "We know how our last fight turned out, even when you had your strange transformation. Don't start a fight here, especially when I have allies, Genesis." Zack warned. The aura of threat around Zack was almost visible as he recalled the atrocities Genesis had committed. The maddening of Sephiroth, theattacks against all of the planet. The fights at Junon and oter places. He remembered it all, and it was all he could do not to charge at Genesis and strike him down then and there. He could barely recall why he had left Genesis alive after their final fight.

{Sweet Jesus, Zack; don’t use blue as your speaking colour, it burns the eyes! }
The Red Mage finished talking, and not a few moments after a sudden burst of a womanly voice yelled out the name Cloud. The first thing this woman had said to him had been the outburst of a mans name, which only meant one thing, she had strong feelings or care for the man in question. This could possibly save him the time of hunting down the experiment, if she was one of those who travelled with him to save the world. His brow once again quirked towards her as her defensives increased, though his posture still seemed as relaxed as ever. Zack was next to speak; he almost seemed as aggressive as the large breasted one. The copper haired ex-SOLDIER tilted his he ad softly as he lifted before a smile grew over his lips. “Oh, Zack. My friend, the fates are cruel.” He chuckled, before covering his mouth to hide the laughter escaping his throat. Genesis slowly shook his head as he regained his composure. “While you were drifting as nothingness in the life stream, I spent my time increasing my power; the planet was increasing my power. Though I have not come for a little play time with you, as I said, I have questions for the man who killed Sephiroth… more or less.” The relaxed individual settled his eyes onto Tifa calmly, giving her a brief study. “But someone who travelled with Cloud Strife is just as suitable as the man himself.” Genesis idly strode to the nearby wall and relaxed his back against the concrete, though his gaze remained on the rather stern bunch nearby. Zack had reasonable grounds to be cautious, Genesis had certainly be responsible for a lot those long years ago yet times had changed and he had been charged with a new goal, any were expendable if they attempt to stop this. “I’m Genesis Rhapsodos, as you heard Zack hear say I suppose. There isn’t a need to worry, my questions were simple. When Cloud and those with him travelled to defeat Sepiroth you killed several monsters created by the planet called Weapons. I simply wished to know the location of those you defeated, Ruby Weapon, Ultimate Weapon, Sapphire Weapon and Emerald Weapon. The other three I’ve already located. Assuming you were one of Clouds companions, can you tell me where their bodies were left?” Having already collected what he needed from Diamond Weapon, Jade Weapon and the infamous Omega Weapon, he was almost halfway done on his agenda.

(( I would have included more detail about how taken back Tifa was from Genesis's looks once she drew closer to him but I decided not to since he keeps refering to her as the large chested one Haha, still funny. Anyways- on with this small post'ee)) The exchange between the two ex Soldiers unnerved Tifa. She turned a bewildered eye from Genesis to Zack for a moment attempting to comprehend the words that were being exchanged between the two. …Sephiroth, why should I not be surprised? Her brow furrowed as she was soon addressed. Watching him with a precautionary gaze, her mouth formed a thin line as he spoke directly to her. Once he began to name off the WEAPONS one by one, she felt a sense of dread wash over her. There could only be one possible motive anyone would have to try and wake these sleeping creatures from their eternal slumber, and for whatever reason that may be, she knew the planet itself was in danger once again. Swallowing quickly, Tifa shifted under this man’s gaze as she dropped her eyes from him and looked towards the ground. Once his words were spoken, she remained silent lost deep in thought. If he was indeed genuine in what he’s saying, then it was best she give him the information he sought. But then again, Zack made it abundantly clear that this man in question was not to be trusted from his previous activities of his life. Shaking her head finally, she glowered as she spoke barely above a whisper, “we don’t have time for this!” Snapping her head upright, she looked ahead towards the mouth of the open passageway. Setting herself into motion, Tifa sprinted forward digging her right foot into the dirt pathway, she hurdled the massive carcass of the hog-like creature landing safely on the other side. Shifting her body, she stands to her full height looking ahead at where she’d planned to go all along but remained rooted. Without turning towards Genesis fully, she decided to give him his answer for now “A bar, here in the city…” Tifa begins as her head turns and her dark eyes pool darkly looking at the red head leaning into the building mere feet from her position, “ …7th Heaven.” tilting her chin with a flick, her eyes not losing his as she continued, “..located on the Northern west end.” all while the words unfolded, her mind thought of the small child that was still in hiding. If they all lived to see another day, she would take measures to make sure Marlene was safely out of town. “.. tomorrow, at noon” her stern tone hardened, “be there. You’ll have the answers you're seeking then.” With the formality with Mr.Rhapsodos out of the way, she turned back to the other two down the street to address them, “We need to move!” Tifa’s voice rising in volume as she looked first at Zack, and then to Cid, “Barret needs us!” Tifa stalled for a moment, her eyes going back to the watchful gaze of the dark red headed man. She wasn’t looking for confirmation from him, she simply wasted to much time with all this. Precious seconds ticked past, seconds that could mean the life or death of someone she held close. Tifa waited anxiously for the others to speak or take action before leaving the current setting herself.

(GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH short post!!! *smacks head against a wall*)
Zack nodded, dashing past Genesis, but not before dropping a death-glare on him, moving past at a sprint too fast for a normal man carrying his sword. He leaped on top of the boar's carcass, leaping off to follow Tifa as they left down to meet this Barret. His thoughts were a jumble inside his head, however. What was Genesis doing here? There was another question that could be answered by Tifa, but he wasn't sure whether to ask or not. Eventually, he had to ask.
"What are the WEAPONS that he's talking about?" Zack asked Tifa as they moved, turning his head to face her. They sounded very important, and must be so if Genesis is after them. He wanted to know just what they were dealing with here, ad he was hoping Tifa was in a good enough mood to explain this to him.

(Running on limited muse, but here's my post. ) Cid wasn’t very happy that Tifa seemed willing to give out such information without first finding out information on why Genesis seemed to want the location of the WEAPONS, but he couldn’t exactly do anything now. He knew it wasn’t smart to just give that information away, but Tifa probably had a plan, so he put his trust in her on that. When she mentioned Barret, he scoffed lightly. “What’d he get us into now? Ah hell, never mind. I’ll find out in a moment or so. C’mon. That ol’ sonnuva turret won’t last long without us.” He tapped his spear on his shoulder and looked at Genesis. “Don’t do anything too stupid, or we’ll be there to stop you. Quite frankly, I don’t trust you.” Without saying much more, he turned his back on Genesis and started sprinting in Barret’s general direction. How did he know he was going the right way? Someone over there was trigger happy. Who else but Barret? Well yes, there was Vincent, but he didn’t seem to carry machine guns that often.

((for starters, I didn't know what to do. I had in mind what I was going to write and then I lost it all. So yeah, hate when that crap happens. And well... this is the result of not having my muse, and forcing a post out. I hope it suffices for now. Apologies if it lacks....but anyways Small reminder to my team here. This is a boss fight. So no one hit kills and stealing all the glory hehe, I have faith you guys wouldn't do that anyways. But at least this will give all of us a chance (not just me) to test our skills as a roleplayer at just how good we are at fighting)) Once she knew Zack and Cid were ready, Tifa paused a moment longer to look back at the red leather clad man perched indifferently against a wall. How someone could remain so calm…so cold, without any sort of human emotion in a situation such as this? Shaking it off, Tifa’s attention is diverted as she turns to face Zack as he inquiries her about WEAPONS. Frowning slightly, she kept her eyes trained on him as she thought for a moment of the appropriate response. With all Hell breaking loose, and the strange appearance of a man linked to Sephiroth, it never once occurred to her that Zack was not present in their previous engagements to save the planet. In fact, there was a lot he didn’t know about … so much to explain in so little time Shaking her head curtly, Tifa turned as Cid gave fair warning to Mr. Rhapsodos before rushing ahead of them, “In due time” She prayed her retort was sufficient enough for the dark haired ex SOLDIER as she sprinted towards the direction she assumed to find the others. Indeed, there would be a lot of catching up to do. Both on Zack and everyone else’s part. The early evenings air cut into her lungs like tiny pin pricks of ice as she pushed herself further towards her destination. Luckily, Zack was by her side, keeping up with her stride for stride. Once the clearing was in view, Tifa quickly darted behind the final building taking an alternate route in order to get a better assessment of what was going on. Stopping just short of where the spoiled party’s plans were to unfold, Tifa spied the large dark skinned man hunched over a few yards away. He seemed to be having trouble with the prosthetic weapon attached as a slur of cursing erupted from his mouth. She couldn’t help but smile inwardly. …at least he’s alright, for the most part Pulling her vision from Barret’s hunched form, Tifa scanned the grounds for any sign of Cloud. Panic spiked deep within her chest when she soon realized he was not in sight. She was quickly brought out of her reserve when the sunlight from above filtered into a blanket of darkness under the massive wingspan of the fleshy creature perched atop an opposing structure. Although she’d fought many things in her past, none of them compared to what she saw before her. This beast… this ‘thing’ had to be every bit of twelve if not fifteen foot in length and it’s ample wingspan could easily be assessed into the mid twenties. Its sickly flesh colored skin covered most of its body save for the area around the mouth and maroon stained talons. What was the most unsettling feature this creature had… or didn’t rather, was the fact it was missing eyes. From her left, she knew Zack was standing once more a few feet away from her. She didn’t have to look at him to know he was taken back by this creatures appearance as well. Soon after the dark haired man was within the same field as herself and Barret, the sandy blonde pilot arrived as flamboyant as ever. Tifa kept her eyes locked onto the skin clad demon scanning its body into her mind picking out the weakest points to land a few choice kicks and punches in order to bestow the most damage. Sadly, she would have to wait for the winged creature to swoop closer. But as luck would have it, Tifa was confident with Cid and Barret’s skills to fight from abroad, her small handicap would even itself out. Chancing a final glance in the direction of where she would have assumed to find Cloud standing, Tifa turned her attention back to where it was needed most. Hunching slightly, Tifa brought both fists before her and awaited her chance to deliver the set course of her intended onslaught. Till then, she would wait for the others to do what was needed in order to bring this beast down off its perch.

(I'm low on muse, and at school, but I'll do what I can here.)
Zack's grip on his sword became hard as stone yet again as he gazed up upon this winged abomination. This creature without eyes stood the size of a small house, if not bigger, and looked equally dangerous.
Sweeping the Buster Sword in front of him and taking a ready stance, his leather gloves tightened audibly around the hilt of the sword, his glare deepening and his teeth gritting for the coming confrontation.
With his blade ready, He stood in wait for anyone else to make the opening move, not wanting to go in alone against this creature. The materia on his arm began to glow with the magic inside as he prepared for the fight at hand. He looked around the battlefield, eying the other fighters, though not seeing Cloud anywhere.
The only familiar face he could find was Tifa. Still, he would fight with these people to bring this winged monster down, if that was what it took.

(never a good thing when any villain/former villian wants the locations of the deceased weapons…)
“Bout fucking time reinforcements showed up.” He shouted, as Tifa and the others ran into the battle. His Microlaser glowed for a moment, as it charged, Barret aimed at the creature. The arrival of the others was a welcome sign, even if he cursed at them. It probably hid his nervousness. Too many innocent lives were close by. And it was their duty to protect them.
As the laser fired at the winged creature, it jumped from its perch from atop the building, evading the attack. There were other creatures around… This wasn’t a normal wild monster attack, this was planned by someone. But who?
(really having a block for writing lately.)
