I doubt they're going to remake it anytime soon. But I'm sure they would not be able to capture the same vibe or magic or whatever of the original. I wouldn't be surprised if they included some of that Genesis and Underground Soldiers bullshit. I'm sure there would be positives but those would be gameplay and graphics. I don't play RPGs for that. I play them for story. And for me the story would be ruined by the voice acting, seeing their facial expressions(i like no facial expressions b/c I was able to imagine the expressions myself. You know some amount of role play.) and any mention of Genesis.

Well, Genesis wouldn't NEED to be mentioned at all, assuming they stay faithful to the original story. Obviously some tweaks would be made to accommodate some changes to the story that arose later on, and I think the main reason anybody would buy the game would to relive the experience in modern graphics (like we saw in the FFVII Tech Demo).

No kidding. That's what a remake is. I'd like to see them continue FFVIII. It could be called "Zell's Grand Adventure of Swallowing Hotdogs" or "Russian Fun with Ultimecia." <.< >.> >.<

ROFL. I'd be happy with either a remake of FFVII, or a grand finale to it, because every time you think its over, its apparently not...

I know....it just NEVER ENDS. Pretty soon Bugenhagen is gonna get his own educational activity game. ROFLCOPTER All we would know about the sequel is that unless it takes place 500 years after the original game's ending, Red XIII will live. The rest is up to the writers.

Oh that's right. I forgot about that 500 years later thing. Vincent would be alive too since he's immortal. I heard that On The Way to a Smile in the Red XIII story it was said that Red XIII was sad that he was going to outlive all his friends and live a life on lonliness so Vincent agreed to meet with him once a year in Midgar. The start of the game could be Red XIII and his kids meeting with Vincent. Then they'd talk about what's going on in the world. Then.....uhh something happens. IDK Gi Tribe comes back, another WEAPON, Sephiroth's 10,000th revival, who knows.
