It was half past ten on bright and sunny Sæterdæg morning. The Main Street Shopping District bustled with activity—shoppers were scurrying from store to store, teenagers were skateboarding down the boardwalk, and impoverished parents where letting their children play in the courtyard’s fountain as though it were a public swimming pool.
All and all, it looked like a great day afternoon for a holiday. But, as they say, there's no rest for the wicked. And the Turks of ShinRa were certainly the wickedest of them all.
Elena walked briskly along the pavement, a bit miffed that she’d been delegated to gopher duty for a week.
Stupid Reno.
This was the last time she’d agree to make ridiculous bet with him! She should have known there was something fishy about the whole deal, to begin with. The way his eyes were gleaming and his lip quirked when he instigated the whole thing…
Well, she’d be more wary in the future!
And so, Elena stormed into The Magic Pot—a bistro located a block down the street from ShinRa's new headquarters.
Upon entering, Elena sighed. There was a line of customers spanning nearly to the door, and baristas were shouting frantically at each other in an effort to fill customer orders.
Crossing her arms across her chest, Elena stepped into line and muttered, “Great! Looks like I’m going to be here a while.”
