I got to talking to Sarah a while back and she and I realized just how many alternate forms of ourselves we've self inserted over the years. So basically I was wondering just how many times have you guys done this? Cuz I highly doubt it's nowhere near the amount of times I have

I think everyone does this from time to time. That's why we gravitate to characters that we can see ourselves in, or use to express parts of ourselves that we may or may not feel like we can show to the waking world.

Yes, but then there are those ((which I'm guilty)) of us that also do it to exercise our brain. This is especially true when it comes to the entire Hellsing family I created for the fictitious city of Bridgeport, NY

I've made some characters for skyrim that follow the same formula of thief (and ignoring that the player is the dragonborn), but she essentially becomes princess of thieves because that's all "badass" as the kids call it now a days. I guess I always like being sneaky or something like that, so I try to make characters that are rangers, or stealth based because it's more fun to write different scenarios ad infinitum. I think the only real media I made characters with was Sims, but even then there's no depth to add a story i guess? I'm also a sucker for that type of "No electricity here, only swords and monster slaying" series of games, like I tried to make a witcher character, until I realized I had half made Ciri and didn't intend to. I don't like to run in bluntly, so it shaves a lot of possible options, and then I don't like games like fallout usually, so there goes a total genre, like mass effect it's out too because it's too futuristic.
I'm just a picky person, but I always fall back on what I am the strongest in. That's why i write rogues out so well and people with sarcastic personalities because it's fun to do that.

I think you're one of the better archers/stealth creators I've had the pleasure of knowing =)

Ha no, I suck. Seriously I cannot write at all. I like to pretend I can, but I can't.

I like to branch out and play outside of my comfort zone in order to grow. But there's always fun to be had playing to what you know and enjoy. It's a great way to stay centered.

I'm not much on branching into blind territory in which I know next to very little about. Especially trades such as home repairs, mechanics (lol I would say this after changing Leah over to Cindy) or some other form of physically demanding work. But with Cindy, I at least want to try PS: Sarah, dont even girlfriend

I agree that there are some areas I wouldn't be comfortable exploring. But I try to keep an open mind.

I mean I don't really know too much about Final fantasy except from the small ounce of crisis core I played and those charming final fantasy 3 games they made for the DS when the characters weren't even... recognizable? I dunno. I just can't get in the head of a warrior or a mage, unless it's a specific type of magic, but even then I feel like I've been conditioned to never be a mage as they're usually "forbidden" or "illegal" so it's either you play as a legal rouge or mouth breather warrior, or you say "oh hell let's do this" and be a mage (in a game respectively) and then regret your choices and decisions when you get called out by every form of regulation and rule in the city you're in and you're really regretting the fact your rogue friend talked you into finding that special cache but in fact it was an ambush and they too, have a "oh crap" look on their face.

I mean it'd be nice, but I can always watch a "cutscene movie" on youtube. Idk if I'll have time to play it, let alone start another game I haven't finished you know?

Well the original game isn't really that easy to follow. But I mean Crisis Core, Dirge and Before the Crisis is an anime so that'd be really easy to watch

True, or we could just get a dragon age board all of our own and get people and start a thing there? Ha is this against the rules to be thinking/typing something like this out? I feel like this is a no no but I know Dragon age like the back of my hand despite not finishing all three games.
