Let's talk about characters, more specifically A/U's

The easiest thing to write out is lore friendly, because it's less complicated to make up the other things in the future. Too many nitpicking things and if we leave something out that we think is minor, it usually is major (ha ha, what a funny thing isn't it). I dunno, I mean depending also on what game you're referring to, you'd need a Warden and company, a Hawke and company, or an Inquisitor and company (some overlapping company included). Then from there, you can go many ways, but some of them include like adding events that are different to the 'cannon' story line, and of course things like OC's and how they factor in too. It's a lotta work and with more people it's a pretty cool idea, but how many people are like me and are dragon age nuts?

Knowing me I would want to start somewhere in the middle, but I mean that's where you'd come in since I have no idea of the exact events of DA and DAO. I've messed with the options in DA Keep but that's not the same as actually KNOWING the game

I mean it's what I'm good for (well something other than pestering people haha... ah....) Anyways, it's just something to think about, then show you more games that you'll want AU's for and then we get into trouble when we get in over our heads for just two people lol.

Exactly, that's why we need others to lighten the load. Otherwise we're gonna wear ourselves thin trying to give life to not only our favorite characters, but those that we have very little regard for

A time after the last game, so you could use lore from all three to create a character. but would you do OC or existing people? I would almost vote OC only so we could all use the existing characters as NPC and story devices. I am open to suggestion.

It's all about a healthy balance to make a successful RP world in my opinion. Skyrim pulls it off effectively when you have the cannon characters and then you throw in modded followers that are so well integrated that it works flawlessly and makes it easy to work off one another. But then again, you'd have to put in a lot of dedication into that character or already know what you're planning on doing, OR know that character like you'd know how to walk around your room in pitch darkness.

I mean I have the means to get a board physically together, and the skills to maintain it, just getting people ya know? Maybe then we won't be overwhelmed? And I dunno I wouldn't be able to keep Varric from being an NPC, I'd have to be him and write as him lol.
