Understandable. Good luck with the family. Sounds like you have tough times ahead.
As for the game...despite the shitty endings, I can't stop myself from playing it again. I'm gonna try to get the NG+ secret ending and let you guys know if its better and/or worth playing the game all over again with the same class and choices for.

With some help from Ash, I finished (well not me personally) but she took my game save and finished the game for me and I got the ending to where Garrus, James and Kaidan were all stranded on the island type place, Anderson was dead yet Shepard… I don’t even know what the fuck happened to her. I didn’t see her anymore so I am assuming that meant she was dead too. I don’t know. That was one fucked up CONFUSING ass ending. But at the end of the credits it was a grandfather speaking to his grandkid and they were standing out by a white top blooming tree and the child asks for another story about “ The Shepard” and that was it.
-shrugs-
Maybe I’m just to bogged down with what is going on with Jack to really make sense of that but thanks Joe. That means a lot to at least have some support. God knows I’ve done my fair share of crying for these past two days. It doesn’t help to see anyone that close to me struggling to stay alive. I’d get more into it, but I think it’s best not to say much else on the topic here. Besides, I just wanted to let you know I eventually got Cynthia Shepard to the end, whatever that ending meant… idk. If she was alive, it wasn’t like I cared. Hell, nearly every single character I gave a rats ass about was dead at that point. Thane, Mordin…. Even Legion. So why shouldn’t she be dead? That’s a rather grim outlook on all of it… I should think she deserved to be with Garrus and crew, but I’d rather her be dead… ha. Oh well.
Oh, and I heard about the 3rd ending but never got a straight answer. So I'd appreciate it if you could explain it a bit to me when you have the time. Thanks. I just hope it's better than the crap ass ending I got. I also read somewhere that if you have your readiness rating over 5 (or maybe it was 600 ) that everyone lives. But that could be just people putting out false info.

If you have a EMS of over 4000, Shepard will live if you choose the Destroy the Reapers ending. I'm about halfway into my second playthrough, so I'll keep you posted on the NG+ exclusive ending, assuming it even exists. Its funny, because there is actually an active online movement to have the ending changed or have another one added. Its even got its own Twitter and Facebook pages and huge polls on the Bioware forums. It's pretty ridiculous how much hate Bioware is getting over the ending.

Ah okay, and some kid on YT tried to rope me into all that mess. Said that I needed to join in the "fight" for Thane. I was like, okay first of all... I really do love the guy as a game character but I'm not going to set there and squble with others about the ending simply because it pissed me off personally. It is what it is. That's how I see it. Am I happy? Not by a long shot. But I think....
idk, maybe i'm way off but I have a feeling bioware did this shit on purpose just to cause enough grief and say "okay guys, we lied. There will be a fourth game in so many set number of years"
Maybe not. But I just have a odd feeling that's what they are going for. how the hell they'd manage another game out of the outcome to the 3rd one is beyond me. But then again, I've learned to never say never. Especially when there is money to be made on something.

Well, Bioware has stated previously that they don't intend for ME3 to be the last Mass Effect game. They stated that it would be the last game about Commander Shepard. Future titles would star a new lead character. As for the endings, if they DID do it on purpose to create grief, then I have no doubt its to create future revenue, in the form of DLC. But that remains to be seen.

Ah really? I didn't know that. Figures. I didn't think they'd fully stop making games for that series, but I didn't think they'd drop Shepard's storyline so sudden to make way for another lead player. Many games have done that in the past and have failed. I just hope it's not the case with this.

SPOILER
DO NOT WATCH IF YOU HAVEN"T ALREADY FINISHED THIS GAME
Okay, well? I think this is fitting. Especially to anyone that was as confused as I was. It explained a lot more than what I paid attention to. Esecially with Shepard and that damn kid.

Hmm...that makes a surprising amount of sense. And it would make the ending make a whole lot of sense, whereas it most certainly does not at a glance. Unfortunately, even if all that is true, the ending would still be horribly bad simply on the auspices that it was so poorly executed to the point where nobody really got it at all.

Yeah son I didn't get it either. Know why? Cause I aint beat that shit yet. I saw Tali's face though. That was cool......I guess. Yea she's hot but like wtf? A picture? Bioware you lazy fucks.
I noticed you said earlier, Seph, that the game was glitchy but didn't know if the 360 version was too. You may know the answer by now but yeah it is. I've had voices cut off, Shepard walks through some solid objects, other people walk through other people and I've had the game freeze on me a couple times.
Anyways, I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is now my favorite spot on the interwebs.

Wait... they actually have a pic of Tali's face? And here I was thinking no one gets to see it. But that blows. A photo? Really? I swear, the worst thing Bioware ever did was tag team up with EA. Not only has EA destroyed the Sims, they've made a mockery (so far) of Mass Effect. Aria needs to slap the rights to the game out of EA's greedy little hands >.>
Anyways, the ending (even though they say is 17 versions) really only comes down to 3. Why they make such a huge deal about it, idk. I didn't like any of them. But I paid for the game so I'm going to deal with it and wait for another DLC to roll around. Here is to hoping for another species squad member!!!
Hmm...
I'd love another drell. But that's simply because I find all drell pleasing. But I can't say i wouldn't be happy if they gave us a chance to have a batarian. Haha, a hanar would be interesting. So would a volus. Now that I think about it, a vorcha would be the best. Why I have no idea.... they just.... lol I like vorcha? They remind me of a zombie version of turians though o.o

the main difference between the endings that create the first 16 has to do with the fate of the Earth and Shepard. Your EMS affects whether the Earth is destroyed or not, and whether Shepard dies or not, and each one of these plot differences is what makes the 16 different default endings. I still can't comment on the supposed 17th "secret ending", although with a few more hours of play I will be able to confirm or deny, as I'm on the last mission of my NG+ run.
Edit: The secret ending does not exist, or I somehow wasn't able to trigger it. Either way, it was a colossal waste of time. Wouldn't recommend NG+ unless you're just in it for the combat.

Figures. I was gonna add that no matter what ending I got, it wouldn't be worth it for me to seek it out. Mainly because the loss of the three characters I cared so much about are no longer a part of the storyline. Not to say I don't care as much for the others... hell I nearly cried when I thought I condemned Grunt to his death to get the rachni queen out of that cave. Haha, actually I think I burst into tears of joy when he came stumbling out of the cave all caked in spider guts.
I suppose I never really understood why Wrex or Grunt or some newcomer wasn't in your party in the 3rd game. Like Shepard says, " a krogan can pack one hell of a punch" and to me, I'd assume having a krogan would have made things a bit better. Especially on some of those missions. Never really thought they'd go that route with EDI but in the end, she and Jeff hooked up so... sorry. I still think it's weird! She took over a decayed and badly burnt/shot body! Anyone else find that as weird as I did? Idk, I realize I needed her in some critical times to hack and all... and it was nice to finally see Joker with someone but honestly, I would have rather traded all that off just for the chance of having Wrex or Grunt... hell, even Jack back in the party. She was adorable in the end I must say. Never thought she'd show a soft side of herself. Especially throwing herself into the line of fire for a bunch of kids. That was sweet... er, as sweet as you're gonna get when it comes to Jack that is.
Miranda even surprised me. She seemed more... uh, nice? Human? Down to earth? Whatever the case, I actually warmed up to seeing her face although most of the time the cam seem to focus on her monsterous ass. (some things never change) I also got to see the LI dialouge with Thane as he was dying.....
Needless to say, I was crying my little broken heart out. I swear... for them to do that shit and not give me time to even talk to Kolyat right afterwards, or even have him avaliable to talk seriously pissed me off. Well that, and when I got the two letters from Feron, I was thinking FINALLY! I get to have a mission with a decent Drell! But did I? NOPE! HKJDSDSKDJFLDFDJLDFJLDFJFJF!!!!!! GAH!@_@ LoL, sorry! Sorry sorry... fangirl depressing pmsing spam there.
Oh, but you know? I'm curious.... (not that I ever tried, or EVER will) if you were a female and romanced Jacob back in ME 2, what the hell would happen between you two on the 3rd game since he's obviously very happy with Brynn and they have a baby on the way. Haha, I'm guessing the only one that is gonna lose sleep over that ordeal would be Kasumi.

From what I've read, regardless of whether he was your LI or not, Jacob will still be with Brynn having a baby. So basically, FemShep/Jacob fans got the worst LI treatment. I kinda felt sorry for them.

Apparently, Brynn was too good of a priiiiiiiize to pass up for Jacob. If you romanced him in ME2, I'd imagine femshep would just go take a shower with specialist Traynor while still wearing their clothes.
I think for the lack of a krogan member Bioware was just like, "Oh yeah you got Freddie Prinze Jr. That's close enough." Yeah, I can't remember his character's name. I just call him joisey shore. He's the type of asshole that just gives everybody nicknames since he's too much a fucking gorilla to actually remember their real names. "Oh hey commander you crazy! Your name is loco now." or "that quarian chick is so jumpy and good with computers. her name is sparks now." or "hey cortez you like butt sex so your name is faggot now." I'm glad Javik was around to show him how much of a retard he is.
Heartbreaking sigh, I see you have no love for the elcor, Tifa. With enormous sadness, I guess they have no place on your list of other alien part members. Okay, seriously you talk to an elcor that tells you to go to their home planet to help them and Shepard is like, "Wait....how do you guys fight?" And the elcor tells him they strap fucking bazookas on their backs and use VIs. Then you go to their planet and you don't even get to see that shit. Explicit nerd rage, fuck you Bioware.
btw here's my opinion on the other aliens as party members: Batarian: Shepard killed 200,000 of them, so the entire time the Batarian party member would just give Shepard shit over it. Maybe in another Mass Effect game. Hanar: The big stupid jellyfish? Lol jellyfish why you in space? space no place for jellyfish. Volus: Okay, this is just a personal reason but their breathing gets on my nerves. Get rid of that and give the little fucker a jetpack or something so he'd actually be a competent fighter then I'd say yeah. Oh and give them more Jewish characteristics too. The greed and banker stuff just isn't enough. Vorcha: You'd have to make that character really interesting for that to work for me. Either that or if he was constantly riding a giant varren all the time. Fun fact: every single Vorcha is voiced by male shepard.
For me honestly, I'd want a Yahg. That is if it would be anything like The Shadow Broker. Dude was fucking badass. Plus it would be another excuse to have a party member voiced by Steve Blum. Dude is also fucking badass.
Oh yeah I completed the stuff with Miranda last night. Nice to hear her say, "Nobody's perfect." However, Tali getting drunk afterwards was fucking hilarious. Toasting Miranda and calling her a genetically perfect Cerberus cheerleader bitch. Then giving Javik shit about comforting Liara earlier in the game. "Aww you care about Liara. You like her." I love Tali. Emerrrrgency induction port.
