yeah. as one of my posts above stated, Kuja's Flare Star from the JP ver of D1 was probably one of the most broken moves in fighting game history. Play between skilled Kuja players essentially boiled down to who would get luckier with Flare Star. >.< So yeah, balancing needs some heavy work. The main problem with fighting game balancing is that alot of developers don't do Loctests very often.
Some of the fighting games I currently play are relatively well balanced because they did so many loctests (like BlazBlue and SSFIV). MvC3 looks like its getting plenty of loctests before the final release. But so far Dissidia has had no loctests, and the release is, from a development standpoint, right around the corner. So I'm just hoping they don't fuck it up.

They should make it where you could link psp's together and have tag team battes. How cool would that be?

I think tag team battles are still far off in the future with Dissidia. As I said before, they're gonna have enough trouble working on balancing for 1v1, worrying about 2v2 right now is a big no-no.

She's pretty much like me I'm guessing. We both love to verse each other and having it in the base form of Dissidia would be great no doubt. Either way, without PvP, I'm still eagerly awaiting for its release.

Indeed. You can't have everything balanced, hell I don't even mind that sometimes some characters are simply better than others, while being weaker to another character. Though someone like Kuja... jesus.
As long as they don't cram this game with the love interests, I'm happy. (Kain was Cecils real love interest)

Just no Rufus, Kain and Cecil both loved Rosa in that game. Kain pwns everything. He was the first Highwind character ever.

Rufus ShinraHaving a weakness cycle for balancing is fine I suppose, although it will inevitably lead to counterpicking for competitive play, which will make it somewhat boring. Also, yes, a truly balanced game is likely impossible, there will always be certain characters who are a bit stronger than the rest, but I just don't want a game that is horribly broken to the point where when playing certain characters against others ends up making skill an irrelevant factor. Cast in point, once again: Kuja's Flare Star in JP D1 gave such a hardcore advantage that heavily melee-centric characters became essentially useless, making skill a near non-factor. @barret Actually, Kain was the second Highwind in FF. The first was Ricard Highwind from Final Fantasy II.
